Baked beans and burger smoortjie

Ingredients :

4 burgers chopped into bite size pieces ( I use beef or chicken or Ostrich, to your taste 

2 tbsp of oil

1 onion, peeled and finely chopped 

1 tsp of garlic 

Salt to taste 

1 tsp of turmeric 

1 tablespoon of masala 

4 chillies 

2 cans of baked beans 

Fresh coriander

Method:

In a large pan, on high heat stir fry the onions and burger pieces in the oil for 3 minutes.

Next, add the salt, spices, garlic and chillies and a dash of water. Stir fry for 3 minutes.

Next, add the baked beans and cook just for 1 minute. Switch off the heat, stir, add fresh coriander.

Serve with rice or bread or roti….

I love adding a bit of Pakco chilli atchar. Yum.

You can use minced meat or chicken pieces if you wish.
